3月12日 My life saved by a Squirrel (Dream)So I have these crazy and funny dreams every once in a while, but I just don't write them down. So, I decided since I was bored studying about AND, NOR, NOT Gates that I would write this dream.
At Mom and Dad's house, I was in the room upstairs queitly sleeping. It was a warm day and the cool breeze flowed through the open window. The squirrel poked his head up in the window to see if anyone was sleeping. He quickly noticed his victim (me) and furiously pounded his hands on the window. Startled I leaped out of the bed to only notice this satanic squirrel beating on my window. Being half-asleep still I was afraid the squirrel would come in and attack me so I carefully went towards the window and closed it. I then latched the window shut so that the squirrel could not slide it open. The squirrel, appearing to me to be defeated, went on it's merry way. Little did I know it had fulfilled it's desire. By this time I was awake and decided to go eat.
As I was eating my food I heard a large sound coming from upstairs in my room. I thought to myself the squirrel must be back because he figured out a way to break in. So I went upstairs to my room to see what was going in. To my surprize I found a unkept man in the window with an evil aura about him. He had on raggy clothes and a look in his eyes that put fear into anyone who saw him. Next to him was a woman with a dark cloak on that you couldn't make much out about. I quickly backed away out of the room hoping he didn't see me. Little did I know that it was someone running away from the law and that they were both high on drugs. The criminals were trying to slide the window open as they didn't have much strength being in a daze. I went to the phone and called 911. I started to tell the person on the phone about the squirrel for some reason and than wisely stopped. I realized that it sounded crazy so I stopped and just told them about the people on the roof. They said they were looking for them all night and quickly sent 3 police cars over. I then went downstairs and grabbed the handle broken bat downstair's in Jon's room. (It is actually behind the closet door last I knew). Anyhow, I then heard the cops pull up and they knocked on the door. I let them in and the cops disappeared to somewhere. With no cops outside, only the guy jumped off the roof onto the ground. Sensing he would get away, I instinctively chased after him and whapped him in the head with the broken bat. The bat broke in half and he fell to the ground. Being high on drugs he was about to get up and when I smacked him again in the arm. I then kicked him and he rolled over. Reaching with his other arm into his pocked for something I jabbed the broken bat right into that other arm. The police than hearing the ruckus came outside to see what was happening. They were grateful I stopped the guy and than got the women. Later that day I went to church and etc etc etc.
So the bottom line should not be that I can't sleep in. It isn't to beat the criminal to death or make sure your windows are closed. It is to make sure when that squirrel comes by to wake you up out of your sleep, to remember that closing that window on the squirrel might save your life. I actually do remember thinking in my dream that the squirrel saved my life and that it was a miracle that it came and pounded on my window. So it was a pretty interesting dream.
Have a good day-

2月22日 IDA - scam or real???I am going to post the information that I just received and let me know if you heard anything?? To me a 3:1 ratio sounds too good to be true (yes even from the government). So here we go.
What is an “IDA”? IDAs, or Individual Development Accounts, are special matched savings accounts designed to help families and individuals of modest means establish a pattern of regular saving and, ultimately, purchase a “productive asset.” What are productive assets? A “productive asset” is something of value that is likely to return substantial long-term benefits to its owner-- benefits like security, stability and opportunities for more income. You may use your savings and match money to purchase any of three productive assets: First home, Small business Education (College or vocational) What is a “savings match?” A “savings match” is a promise to supplement an IDA participant’s savings deposits at a 3:1 rate. For every dollar saved another 3 dollars added toyour total account balance! ----------------- Program Funders Advanta BankCorporation American Express CCD Associates Capitol Bank, Inc Bank One Daniels Fund Fannie Mae GE Capital Financial GMAC Commercial Mortgage Bank Lehman Brothers Merrick Bank Corporation Merrill Lynch Bank, USA Morgan Stanley Bank Office of Community Services Pitney Bowes Bank, Inc State Farm Transportation Alliance Bank, Inc UARHOF UBS Universal Financial Corporation United Way of Salt Lake U.S. Bank Wells Fargo Foundation Wright Express Financial Services Zions Bank Who is eligible? The Utah Individual Development Account Network is open to individuals or families who meet the following criteria: 1. Residence in Utah 2. Be 18 years old 3. Earned income 4. Applicants cannot have more than $10,000 in net assets excluding one car and one house. Income eligibility by family size: Number of persons: One: $19,600 Two: $26,400 Three: $33,200 Four: $40,000 Five: $46,800 Six: $53,600 Seven: $60,400 Eight: $67,200 What is required ? IDA participants are asked to commit to: • make monthly savings deposits of atleast $15 and no more than $62.50 • save in the program for a minimum12 and a maximum of 36 months • attend a personal finance and moneymanagement workshop series • participate in asset-specific training• support one another through ongoingpeer support meetings • Regular contact with case managerIs there more to an IDA Program than just savings matches? Absolutely. Most people need more than just cash to become successful homeowners, entrepreneurs or college or vocational school students. For this reason participants in Utah Individual Development Account Network are required to attend 8- 10 hours of personal finance and money management training and a special assetspecific preparation program. These workshops are designed to help participants acquire or polish the personal and financial skills that are essential for longterm success, skills like long-range planning, household budgeting, credit repair and savvy consumer habits. Why would anyone give away money like that? Savings matches are not “giveaways.” Participants earn savings matches by savingtheir own hard-earned dollars and taking other steps to prepare for the future, like attending personal finance workshops. Furthermore, providing match dollars is a way to help hard working low-income families and individuals build a more stable and secure future. Everyone benefits when more members of a community have the tools they need, the productive assets,to provide for themselves and their families. Where are savings deposited? Zions Bank has agreed to establish special IDA savings accounts, jointly owned by UIDAN and you. What about making savings withdrawals? Because IDAs are intended to help people purchase productive assets, withdrawals for non-asset uses are strongly discouraged. Participants are always free to close their accounts and withdraw from the program. How do I receive match funds? Matched funds will be made available to participants when they are ready to purchase an asset. At that time a vendor check will be issued directly to the company, institution or individual furnishing all or a part of a participant’s asset goal (a mortgage company, home inspector, wholesale supplier or community college, for example). Will I receive monthly statements? Yes. Your case manager will distribute monthly statements that show your deposits and interest match money earned. ------------------------------------------------------ Contact Info Contact information Martha Wunderli IDA Network Coordinator Martha@utahissues.org 801-521-2035 x 119 800-331-5627 --------------------------------

Note my credit score is around 700 so I got the lowest interest rate on my car thanks to Jon's advice on getting student loans and paying them back after a few months. Yes, those loans do show up on my credit history. 10月23日 Scam from WebLoyalty.com aka WLI*ReservationRewardsNote I just got hit by this scam on my credit card and you might have as well. It has hit a lot of people so you might want to check. Here is the site with the list of people known to be hit (http://adam.rosi-kessel.org/weblog/the_man/webloyalty_aka_wli_reservations_is_a_scam.html).
It will pop up like this "
This is how it appeared on my statement of a charge of $9.00 so you might want to check and give them a call about it. Here is the number I got off the above web page "1-800-732-7031" Just look as it is a sneaky charge of only $9 a month and can be easily glanced over. I have already paid $27 for a service I didn't use that started on the trip to California to drop of Beth's cousins and pick up the Saturn SC1. Laterz. 10月15日 When Does the Spirit Enter the Body? Here are the only quotes I have seen gathered together on this and I am posting them to see what people think and if they have other quotes that might be interesting. I was just thinking about this when my wife was talking about how she had a twin that was stillborn and how it could be I married a twin :). Maybe than I could get sealed to both of them (assuming Beth's twin is a girl) and have double the fun, hehehe. J/K. Here are most of the good quotes I have found.
"When the mother feels life come to her infant, it is the spirit entering the body prepartatory to the mortal existence" (JD 17:143). (Brigham Young)
"Stillborn children should not be reported nor recorded as births and deaths on the records of the Church, but it is suggested that parents record in their own family records a name of each such stillborn child. (Doctrines of Salvation, vol. 2, pp. 280-281) (Jospeh Fielding Smith as reported in (Bruce R. McConkie, Mormon Doctrine, p. 768).
"[title of section in the handbook] Stillborn Children (Children Who Die before Birth)
Grieving parents whose child dies before birth should be given emotional and spiritual support. Temple ordinances are not performed for stillborn children. However, this does not deny the possibility that a stillborn child may be part of the family in the eternities. Parents are encouraged to trust the Lord to resolve such cases in the way He knows is best. The family may record the name of a stillborn child on the family group record followed by the word stillborn in parentheses. Memorial or graveside services may be held as determined by the parents." (General handbook of Instructions, word document on pg. 204) - email me if you wanted to see that reference from the handbook. So it all depends on whether the spirit entered the body or not, but I thought it was interesting to think that there is a chance I married a twin. Cool, this is my first blog so i kept it basic and I hope people comment on ideas and thoughts they have about this.
